Just got a new cable from dealers to stick on the coupe and it was to short ?....Has anybody had this before or have I done something wrong here..It is only short by 2inchs

What part number did they sell you? The proper bonnet cable should be too long from the factory and needs to be shortened.

He said that to..fits Audi 100 as well ...I have had a look at again this morning and it looks like I need to remove some of the outer lining to give me more cable at the other end if that makes sense..93 S2 Avant Parting

Well got it fitted but had to trim about 2.5 inches of the outer lining at the lever end so I could slide more cable through to fit it ..thought this pretty strange !!..Double checked the part and it is right93 S2 Avant Parting
