  • What do you lot think to this?

My brother is a sign writer by trade and he saw some carbon look wrap in a trade magazine that they get at work. It comes in e affects White,Black(just looks like the real deal) and Anthracite(sp?) so we ordered some. His plan was to do the wood trim in his new BMW and mine was to have a go with it and see how hard it was to work. So I thought I'd do the B-pilar. I'll post some pictures of my brother trim later.

    Give me your worst lads!

    A close up!

Cheers. Never thought about the rad cover but I think I'll have a go at that and get some pictures up of it. I don't know how it will act with the heat from the engine bay? I doubt it will affect it though.

I saw the 3m vinyl style stuff on an evo forum where they were wrapping a pile of stuff, looks pretty good, seems to be able to work round curves with a bit of heat,

              Comparison

              It is available from ebay.

I haven't made up my mind yet, it gives a cool looking result, however carbon fiber is for saving weight/strength, this is just adding negligible amount of weight so is a bit meh, does look cool though.

Those trims look good, I had been wondering doing a set but still thinking about it.

Lol @Gaz, I can be gental when needs be but it's not the easiest thing I've done before.

It gives a great finish, the trims I did were a spare set I had so I'm going to do the others as well. The wing mirrors look good in that picture but I'll tell you now that will not be easy. If you do buy it from eBay make sure it is propper wrapping vinyl as it won't work if not, adding a little heat does help a lot. I hav been thinking about doing the mirrors on are lass's TT?

If anybody has anything they want doing PM me and I'll see what I can't sort out.

I've been talking to my brother as he's the expert on this with it been his job. It is waterproof so it will not come off in the rain plus when I did mine I wrapped around so there is no edges on show or can be caught by anything. Are the coupe B-pilars the same as the avant? If so I can do an exchange on them.
