I also did David's trick with the #6 fuse.

My lights are as bright as hell with only 55/60s in them. Try it before you spend all those Pounds on the RS2 lights.

Hi Greg your headlamps are new whereas mine are 14 years old! this would help. I stripped my headlamps and cleaned the reflectors ( gently!) and the glass. I was wondering about fittinq auxiliary spotlamps behind the grille (after dumping the aux radiator). I'm not getting round to anything at the moment far too busy with work. Must try harder....

True, only 12 though, mine have been on the car a couple of years. But the H4 headlights and H3 French fogs on my 914 have been on the car for 25 years, and with the relays, they put out as much light as the Coupe. I am a firm believer in relays. When you get as old as I am, the age of dirt, you need twice the light input as someone 30yr old in order to see the same things at night.

On my Chevy Van I run relayed headlights and tailights. I am running 80/100 Hella H4s, and I run the run relays in the tailghts because the line run to the back of the van is 16 feet. Just think of the voltage drop. This also helps the voltage running to the tailights on my car trailer. That run would have been 30 feet.

They can have my car when they pry my cold dead fingers from the steering wheel.

I have 7 inch round headlamps on the Morris Minor and 120W/90W bulbs on a dynamo with no problems. The road is very well lit and it is far better than any other car I have been in ( so far).

It's a shame I can't fit them to the coupe!

Old Range Rovers had only 3 fuses Probably the Brits have made cars without fuses too

Actually H4/H1 lights are way better than the H1/H1 ellipsoids when compared both new.
Sorry to disapoint you guys, but ellipsoids are only a design thing, if you want the best lights you go for the H4/H1. Well ok, maybe the ellipsoids have slightly better lows.

Gotta agree with this. To fix the low beam issue, I fitted an HID kit. Now my lights are excellent.

My Morris Minor has two fuses, one for the lights and the other for the ignition, electris windows, air suspension etc. etc.
