I need to set my motor in the correct position on my Pre Select Sunroof, Paul Nugent once sent me the instructions of how to do it, but I have lost them.... does anyone know how to do it? I have just about tried everything now....

Easy power it up before bolting to the sunroof assembly.

Does anyone have the correct method for setting the motor in the correct position as no matter what setting I put the switch in it opens full tilt, moves to the close position and then slides open slightly.

Mine has stopped working completely, does anyone have a checklist of things to check? It was working fine before the car was laid up, so I'm thinking it must be a relay or switch issue. I can't see that the motor would fail without use.
All my fuses are intact in the main fuse box.

I wouldn't mind some details on how the system works as my old motor would open the sunroof but not close it and now the other motor seems to not know its proper position so just opens and closes alittle bit but not in the correct positions.

I'm needing some advice also, mine will tilt up and select fine.

But trying to slide it back, just dips a little and stops

Some say to turn the motor by hand. Others say wire may be jammed.

              Any ideas??

Steve, the relay for the sunroof (as well as power windows) is located under the steering, just remove the tray, it's on the upper most right hand corner (RHD cars). I believe it's number 287. It is quite a large relay, hard to miss, sometimes I need to plug mine back in for it to work. Your relay may require soldering, I believe there is a 20a fuse located in there unless you've already checked that but it's more likely to be a relay issue.

Also the fuse is most likely to be a standalone fuse with another two fuses located near each other.

For the the others, maybe a bad switch? Bad connection for the pre-select sunroof?

Thanks for the reply My windows work fine, so the relay must be semi ok. I did pull it out and removed the cover. All looked ok with the contacts, however the issue could be internal. I guess the easiest way to check would be to find a replacement relay and plug it in. I've not checked any fuses that aren't in the main fuse box, are there some located in the secondary location under the dashboard?? What are the large metal covered two pin devices on the secondary board, are they fuses??

Don't fancy trying to remove the pre select facial if something was to break. Any step by step guides to prevent this

I don't think there are any fuses related to the sunroof/windows under the dash, everything should be under the steering in the removable tray. It could be the relay just comes a bit loose and decides to stop working as mine does however if that happens then also the windows will stop working.

I've no idea how to go about getting to the pre-select sunroof connector as I'm not the type to fiddle about in case something goes wrong .

Edit: Also thought this might help
