Fitting RS2 grill to s2 coupe

as per title. I've got all the bits. I think?

    grill surround
    grill
    rs2 specific rings logo
    monster eddie billet clips

when bolting it all on the top doesnt want to tighten up. The bottom three seem "ok" but there is a big gap along the top if looking from the outside and the grill doesnt seem to want to fix steady it wobbles around as if its not fixed and the surround is loose also?

seems like the clips wont push down far enough to pull against the grill because the bonnet\clips are the wrong shape.

im probably missing something reallly dumb here but i just cant see whats wrong im getting convinced its not gonna go.

is there a difference in grills.

i think its just the billet clips! They fit really loose in some places! They are all just slightly too big/small. When you nip them up theres still a mm or two play around the edge and on the back supporting the grill so the grill can move in some places and the surround can move in others.

When i go over speed humps ive got a rattle from the front end.
I can feel a silicone attack coming on.

Bit annoying for you if those uber expensive billet clips aren't perfect!

self adhesive felt tape should help and tidier than silicon
