How the rear bumper trim (between the bumper and the boot) should be mounted. My Avant had new paint to the rear and after the operation I donĀ“t remember how big should the gap be between the car and the bumper.
The black trim is now below the upper surface of the bumper and it looks stupid

I mean the trim that is attached to the bumper so the gap stays the same if I move the bumper... But should the trim touch the body and be on top of the bumper?

hmm, by your descroption you didnt fit it right. the trim is attached to the bumper, and it moves with the bumper. the trim hides under the rubber seal of the boot door.
