Hi guys could anyone tell me the best way to remove the coupe rear spoiler, I'm due to get it sprayed as it has a tiny crack and scuffed paint (due to the last owner!!) I had a quick look and it seems like it is all built in with the boot lid, is this the case? or does it simply bolt off?
Great, not what I wanted to hear. Oh well, gonna see what the spray shop says about it, might mean taking the rear window out to get a decent job done then.
Hehe, more bad news. The rear window is glued on. Probably can't take it out without breaking it. Sorry
If the paint shop is good they can lift the seal, paint it and relay the seal. This is what was done to mine and I'm happy with it and I'm fussy about paint.
I saw a police car chase television programme set in South Yourkshire and one of the cars chased was an Audi Coupe, the back window was broken and had been covered in polyethene.
A good windscreen company should be able to remove it and refit. cost £100 I would think....

I just had my car painted with the spoiler in place. No problem. I think an experienced painter would have a technique for these difficult areas.
