  • Thule Aero Bars on RS2?

    Hi

I bought a set of Thule roof bars and all connections for another car of mine but then never got round to fitting them. I've abandoned that plan so now I'm thinking of how to use the Thulebars on the RS2, either for a roofbox or for carrying bikes.

Clearly the RS2 has rails already but what do I now need to use to get the Thule Aero Bars to attach to the roof rails?

    Thanks

    Tom

You just HAVE to go OEM / Votex.

No need to go OEM as he has the Trule bars already.

Granted, but I'm not sure that the mountings can be bought seperately, and when you can have a new Votex set for 79 euro + shipping I think it's the best choice. RS2 (and S2) deserves OEM in my opinion.

Thule is a modular system so you can buy whatever you need.

Check what model and width of bars you have and then get the appropriate fitting pack/foot kit for the RS2.

For an 80 avant with roof bars the kit is

                  860 Bars (Aero), (760 square)
                  757 Footpack

So if you have the right bars just buy a 757 footpack, costs about £75.

You can get them from Halfords, local bike shop if they do Thule etc. I would imagine somebody does them online.
