whats up with me sunroof

Hi guys having had my car now for two months iv now started to investigate why the sunroof doesn,t work on taking the cover off the guy who had it before me had disconected the switch. On reconecting it the roof moved back and down slightly without me pressing the switch and it doesn,t respond to the switch being pressed. So iv had to do it manually. I had a play with the switch and now it just drops and goes back but now when use the switch to close it it just raises up and won,t come back down anybody had this problem and can help because now iv developed a leak and im getting a wet head.

I have a dodgy sunroof too, perhaps you have a knackered switch? There's obviously power, even if it's intermittent.
