rear panel

Hey folks,

In the process of getting the S2 ready to sell when i noticed yesterday that some tw.t has reversed into my rear panel below the reg no on the rear of the car and as usual they have driven off. Is this an easy repair?
no damage to the bumper just the narrow panel above, The car is needing some paint so it may be a fine time to do this. Any idea on cost for the panel new or secondhand.

First thing, is it a coupe or estate? if its a coupe reflective panel then ive got one

On a coupe the metal part between the number plate and the bumper is metal, and part of the body.

Or do you mean the red number plate surround?

Should have read this more than once The panel you are on about is the metal piece? I assume its part of the rear panel so straighten it, fill it, paint it

I would just knock out your existing one, if you strip out the interior of the rear of boot you can get access easily.
