avant rear bumper onto sedan

Hi,
i have a 1988 A90Q saloon and i would like to fit a rear bumper from an avant.
I have the bumper to fit but the mounts are all different,any one out there done this,
is there an easy fix or should i take angle grinder and welder to it and make it have it !!
Any info gratefully received, thanks in anticipation.

I have recently fitted a S2 estate front and rear bumper on my 80 saloon, the rear is not a straight swap, im sure i had to use the mounting brackets from the original bumper?

88 80 is a B3 so different from the B4 avant, make some brackets up, rear arches are not the same either.

Hi guys,thanks for info, should i flare rear arches to fit bumper ?
also having offered it up i see that cutout for exhaust is in a different place,
I thought this was gonna be easy

All the measures are different . It won't fit .

Best bet is get a rear bumper from an Audi 80 and get it proffessionally painted,completely
