Ive been having a problem with mine for a while, whenever i use them it just seems to foam up and spray a load of it over the lights and the bonnet before you get a bit of a jet on the head lights.
Any idea what the problem is? or anyone had a similar problem?
Should there be a one way valve in the pipe to stop the water running back to the tank?
Can you disconnect them? I hate getting a car covered in screen wash every time I wash the windcreen

I looked at this when I had the bumper off at the weekend... I didn't notice a one way valve and I doubt one is needed as the pump is at the bottom of the tank.
Blocked nozzles? Is the black nozzle piece actually still there? They're only held in by an interference fit so they can work themselves loose and blow out under the jet pressure!
Happily, you can replace the nozzle inserts from VAG Parts for about a fiver, not the £125 that a stealer quoted me for the entire unit...

nah dont think he has yet, ive been thinking that with the IC too, I'd look a bit stupid driving down the 1/4mile with the washer jets going for most of it! LOL.
Might try changing the inserts, they both have them in at the min.
I've been meaning to get off my *** for a while with the i/c spray. Some bits from halfords - pump, spray nozzles, plastic pipe, some electrical wire and a live feed, a t piece, some garden hose, and a clicky thing from Maplins with a current going through it and a magnet to attach to the throttle wire. Mount on inside of front bumper poiting to i/c and Hey presto - i/c spray for WOT operation, AND you get a level indicator to tell you when empty (cause you have no squirty left either.)
Oh yeah, don't put screen wash in either except at winter (and you can disconnect it then anyway cause it's cold)
I'm a jeenius. Geenyuz. Geekneeus. Ge... Ah fook it I'm an idjiot.
AFAIK, they only spray when the headlights are on. Turn off your lights when you spray the screen!
Don't have an accident tho'

I know! Bit of a pain in the **** when dark though. I am one of those that likes side lights in the daytime too....
Oh well.
Cheers,
Steve.
