Is there a B4 S2 coupe chassis or is it just the B3 chassis with B4 hood/bonnet and other bolt ons. I know the S2 avant and sedans (all 316 of them) were B4 chassis but I thought there was a B4 coupe chassis too.
Straighten my brain out.
Please.

Sorry, I don't understand. Is the chassis different and the suspension the same in 1993 vs 1990?
There is no B3 and B4 Coupe (S2 or not), there is only Typ89 Coupe. It was facelifted with B4 parts at some point but that does not change that fact that all the Coupes are typ89 Coupes.
I see now that the B3/CQ/S2 coupe rear suspension is one A-arm and a MacPherson strut attached to the wheel bearing housing (which is attached to the A-arm) whereas the B4 rear suspension has an upper and lower A-arm, a curved wishbone wheel bearing housing and a shock and spring that attach to the lower A-arm not the wheel bearing housing.
Thanks for making me learn something new.

There are some differences between the coupes and S2's, but the only thing I can think of is the bolts from the wheel bearing housigs to the strut(post 92' vs pre 92') S2.
UrS4: The Coupe doesn't have an upper and a lower A-arm, that only goes for the avant.
B3 coupes has fittings for the front swaybar in the A-arms vs the S2 where it's in the struts. Older B3 coupes does not have separate struts and wheel bearing houses, and no rear sway bar at all.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.
