Hello, I am new and have a question regarding the RS2 bumper. I have an early 98 A6 avant and I wanted to know if the rs2 bumper or rs2 replica bumper would fit? If not, are there any other options. I am restoring the car and it currently has a torn up one which I would love to replace with something other than stock.

The C4 is wider than an RS2 (which is based on the B4 avant) therefore, even if you could find and RS2 front bumper, it would have to be severely modified to make it fit your C4 avant. Assuming that your 98 A6 Avant is like my 98 A6 avant, i.e. its really a 97 C4 A6 avant, not the C5 body, the solution you seek is available at LLtek in Montreal Canada:

Yep, I got the early 98 C4. Could you cut the Rs2 replica bumper in half and widen it by adding fiberglass/bondo n the middle?Comment

Sure. Then figure out how to mount it and blend it to the fenders, etc.
The downside of the Lltek valence is it is designed for the UrS4/S6 bumper which flare out to meet the wider flares on the UrS4/S6 front fenders.

I make fibregalss bumpers for RS2, S2, Cabriolet,Coupe (one fits all and for the C4 , wide fenders (URS4/6) and standard fenders.
Believe when I say they are totally different and it would be a major job to modify one to fit the other. Not only wider but wheel arch curve and distance to front are also different.
I am working on the costs of shipment to UK/USA etc, but currently the cost to ship one bumper would be astronomical.
