Coupe spoiler/tailgate material

I was chatting away with the MOT tester yesterday and he asked me what material the spoiler was made of. I told him I thought it was made from fiberglass (GRP).

Have I got this right? Are the tailgate and spoiler made entirely from glass reinforced plastic?

Thanks Alex, my efforts have been worth it.

The MOT guy said that I was only one of two people who make the time to watch the testing. The other customer has an old K plate Merc and he does his own maintenance too.

It think this is a good indicator of how the majority of people just don't bother even with basic servicing of their vehicles.
