windscreen cost

i am removing my screen for a couple of reasons. anyway i mate who runs a classic car company recommended national windscreens worcester.
i asked for a quote to turn up and bond in a new screen and id fit all trim etc.
quite surprised they knew the cars and knew id be doing hard work. the cost a very reasonable 132 quid inc vat. can't wait to get it in now

to supply and fit 50? doubt you can get the glass alone for that money. id think the glass would be 100 at least

Is that including the price of the glass?a bloke local to me works for national and does jobs on the side and does most windsceens for around 100 quid fitted(includes removing old 1),however when i asked him to do an s2 screen a bit back he groaned a bit then changed the subject lol.

Thats not bad for a supply and fit not going thru insurance as they would charge 70-80 straight away

one of their guys does foreigners but for that money i get warranty too. wanted to avoid insurance as regardless of what they say it affects premium. i used to work in insurance and what business gives things away for free. some screens can run into hundreds and you only pay 60 quid.

I had a quote for my urs4.
Auto glass said £407+ vat!
Rang a local small outfit-£178 inc vat
He says they get the screens from same place as auto glass

Whoa. Some seriously good quotes there.
Over here, it is approx. £800. £200-£400 through insurance, depending on company.

Then a few weeks go by and you have a new crack in the windscreen, due to all the c..p they put on the roads up here.
