    Aero wiper replacement blades

I need to replace my earo wiper blades and wondered where people got them from?

    I believe I have:

    mk.4 Golf driver's side - 1J2955426B
    mk.4 Passat passenger side - 3B2955425E

Looking at about £30 from VAG...

    Any help much appreciated

    Cheers

I get mine from a mate down at the local Bennetts... always cheaper than elsewhere for me

I've read that you can unclip the rubber blade from the aero wipers and just replace the rubber with a generic rubber blade.
But the blades have to be the correct profile.
Not tried it myself yet though.

      Here's an example guide http://www.passatworld.com/forums/61...dure-pics.html

On all my other cars I've had great success with cheap aeroo blades off eBay but on the S2 I can't find an aero blade for the passenger side that can keep up with curvature of the coupe screen.

Its fairly simple, just measure the length of the old blades and get the retro fit ones in the same length. Most places will have a thick book with all the measurements of the lengths in them and you can go from that. IIRC for my avant I have a VW Touareg rear one on the boot and a Mk4 golf front on one side and another one from teh VW family on the other at the front. I kept the tabs from the boxes so I can renew them easy enough. (i have the aero arms on the car too hence why it was a bit harder than getting normal aero blades in the same length as the originals.

Got the driver's side one from ECP for much cheapness - Bosch part number AM21U.

Unfortunately the passenger side one that I got isn't correct and on checking the Bosch website, they don't do a passenger side one for a Passat (which relates to the p/no. above). The one I have got is shorter and so there is a 30mm gap between the wipers at rest, rather than a 5mm gap. I'll update the thread if I get a replacement for it.

Bosch aftermarket wipers (catalogue at bottom of page)
