Paint problem

My avant has started to develop a nasty rash on the bonnet. No idea why, as there has been no residues of any kind left on the bonnet (bird poop/tree sap etc)

I realise it is a crystal ball question but what could have caused it and what would be a good solution to remedy it?...

all suggestions welcome..,..

and yes before any one gets clever I have just washed and polished the area!!....

Was thinking the same!! I've had some ***** get plaster, concrete you name it on my bodywork.

Flat it off with some 2000 grit wet and dry with some soapy water, not in circles though. Only sand in one direction then mop it with some rubbing compound. So long as you don't mind building up a sweet you could polish it by hand with some T Cut.
