Are the C4 Avant and saloon light panel the same?

Hi all,

I really need to get a new rear centre light panel (in fact whole new boot lid) for my UrS4 Avant, and was wondering if the panel is the same for the saloon and Avant? Just opens up a few more options if it is.

You may need to cut an opening for the handle if from a saloon but it should fit.

Worth asking spink, he'd know and probably have the panels anyways if your interested in one.

In my mind they are different. The Avant opens the boot by way of a cut out slot for the separate long thin rectangular handle in the top centre of central red panel.

On the saloon, one opens the boot by pressing the round silver key barrel/button located in the rhs of the reversing light on the rhs of the number plate slot.

Cutting plastic lights is not really a viable option, if you want a decent result.

imho, best to buy the correct version for your particular car.
