Coupe Door seal ( again )

After having the dor seals out of my car and with all this wet weather I have got a slight leak on drivers side.
It is ( hopefully was) coming in right at the top of the A post where the interior trim meets the dashboard.
I have put tape over the rivet holes and tried it--no change.

I then ran a bead of flexible sealant along the base of the aluminium trim that holds the rubber in place. I then found that there is a little lip moulded designed to deflect water. It was torn in the position where the leak seemed to be getting in. I have placed some flexible sealant in this position and chucked the hose over it and so far no water came in.... I guess long term I should get a new seal.
However I seem to be unable to get the triangle shaped filler pieces in the seal seem to be kicking out a little more than before.

I have also found that the trim button that holds these filler pieces to the top of the A post have snapped.

Has anybody found a way to hold these pieces in place once the originals have snapped.???

Thanks in advance guys. This little leak has really been annoying me. It seems the second you disturb the seals they piss in.

The door seal on a coupe is far from simple, the seal will also be showing its age - Good luck

Im on engineer. However there are plenty of cars out there that have rimless glass. Why on earth did audi over complicate these so much?

The door and window design is quite ridiculous but then I guess it was designed 30 years ago and there are plenty of other things that are a bit mad, like the tiny headroom and inlet tract design...

Ill be going to halfords shortly to buy some universal trim buttons to hold the triangle shaped part against the a pillar. Then all i need is the card pieces from audi tradition. That's if they answer my e mail that is.
