Avant external black trim removal

Has anyone removed the external trim that runs along the top of the door line any btdt, any caveats?

If its the trim that goes along the top of the window frame but actually on the car on an avant its rivited on but you need to take the rear windows out to get to some of the rivits plus the rivits are an odd size - btdt

if its the one that goes along the top of the actual doors and not the top of the frame then remove the cartridge and there is little pegs that you pop out to remove the trim (on an avant, but coupe doors probably the same)

Yep its Avant, and its the bit of trim on the body above the doors that requires the side windows to be removed.

Just make sure you watch for the little plastic pegs that come out, if you do lose them then rivits can be used to replace them.

Hope you don't mind but was going to post similar Q, how are the rear windows, trim that the front doors shut on to and the trims on the sides of the windscreen removed also?? Any pic's please
