widebody/arched avants

im just curious.. you see all the abt and wide arched coupes and they all look really good.. has any one ever done anything similar with an avant... custom or off-shelf parts.. i'd just like to see pics and see if it would be worth the bother?...

as front wings could be easily sourced (acm and the likes)..
just building the rear arches would have to widen on to the door to look any good id guess like rs4's are..
could even just modify the panels that you buy for coupes i guess?

anyone any thoughts?

Here is an UrS6 avant that was getting rear arches stolen (cut) from some spare C4 UrS front fenders (wings).

Jp does qcworks do it with steel or fibre glass?

They stretch the original metal arches and then finish shaping with carbon fibre filler. Then build the bumpers up for oem look.

So you wanted to see some wide body/arched avants hey??? Well check this one out. I had to go back a good many years to find these photos but here they are:












I have a few more but these tell the story fairly well. The owner was a friend I helped with several of my HRSB rear sway bars and we got to know each other over the ethernet. He also had a real Sport Q. The turbo is a K-29 I think if memory serves. I've lost touch but his S4 Avant was killer.
