Thought many times about ditching the OE airbrakes and fitting something like they had on the Competition race cars. Anyone BTDT?

80 BTCC/STW cars look like they had either:
rover metro/100 (elise/exige)
ford KA
some other french crap ones
cheap and should be easy to google pics.
KA ones just need a hole and flat surface at the back, and has a big nut that screws over them to keep in place. easy
