I just recently seen "UrS4boy"'s UrS4QA's Avant and it is immaculate!! It is a true pleasure to see it on North America soil!! To me it sounds like it would be a replacement local hatch to acquire his goal of the recognized rear spoiler.. I have never seen such a beautifully optioned interior package as his!! Makes our usual Leather etc.. seem so bland!!

Dave is really good at gathering the small pieces of C4 UrS information and compiling them into really good information sources. So having a small discussion going will make sure the guides will eventualy get the best information avaliable

And in doing so, I discovered the incredible number of rear hatch glass PNs, at least for the 1994 C4s (100s and UrS4s). I also saw the PN for the Chrome Vapourized black factory tint that I can check out against the PN in the glass and prove to the authorities that the very dark tint is indeed factory glass. So that was good.

Also i have seen on many Italian market non-spoiler models that they have 3rd brake light installed on the inside with special trim piece and different shape factory black edge tint around the glass.
Most dominant seems the boring option here - no spoiler or 3rd brake light, also many of the spoiler hatches have been replaced with non-spoiler hatches because it is nearly impossible to find decent one without major rust issues.

Rarest combination would be quattro script spoiler hatch with late model spoiler that includes the 3rd brake light (also sun shade on the inside would complete the package), pretty sure they were never offered together from factory.
Made some photos to illustrate and describe topic better. To prevent people from wasting time looking for pictures. Been there done that.

                Two questions for you Petu:

                1. Can you find and post the PN for the quattro rear hatch glass? It's NLA but I want to try to find out when it was dropped in production, i.e. at the end of the 1992 model year run or before the end.

                2. There are two PNs for non-quattro rear hatch glass, one for hatches with the large spoiler with the 3rd brake light and one for hatches without any spoiler. Which hatch is getting the quattro glass and, if it is the spoiler hatch, have you test fit the glass to see how it fits?

I will check it out on Thursday/Friday and take some pictures. Is the glass PN also like usual 4A0...? As far as I know this hatch and glass is from a Euro UrS4 and probably many UrS4-s got that glass but haven't seen any 100s with quattro glass.

This quattro glass is on a hatch with rear spoiler and should fit all hatches with spoiler. Probably all quattro scripted glasses were produced for spoiler hatches but that's a wild guess.

Now i'm amazed, need to dig out what exactly was done to my car. Long story short: the car was in the bodyshop for rear end respray and my old rear hatch turned out to be too rotten to use, so i provided them with my spare spoiler hatch. I insisted that the glass should be cut out because i wanted it to be resprayed to loose any rot that could have been under the glass. I also told them that the glasses are not interchangeable and the glass from my non-spoiler hatch would not fit.

Well surprise-surprise when i picked up the car few hours ago, the glass from my non spoiler hatch was somehow crafted onto the spoiler hatch (yes it's the same glass, there are still scratches on the inside tint from my studded tires from small incident that happened 5 years ago), also now i have spare spoiler glass.

So somehow the glasses could be interchanged, i just now need to remove the wing and find out what compromises were done to achieve that, if any (but i doubt that).

That's interesting Zoig. If you remove the spoiler, provide us with some pictures.
Took the picture of the glass code:
                        SIGLA
                        43 R - 001193 (corrected thanks to Zoig)

                          Petu, Both of my glasses have the same exact part numbers (your text has a typo, it's "43 R - 001193"). Only difference is the last line, your glass has ". . . . . 2", my non-spoiler one has "0 . . . ." and spoiler glass has "1 . . . . "

This corner script is the only script the glass has, no idea where the proper parts code is.

Few notes from the spoiler, i understand that the main idea is that the spoiler channels air to the rear window. During heavy rain my rear glass used to be wet from the rain and covered with usual road-dust. Now at around 95km/h in rain the rear screen was dry, not enough drops on it to be visible from the mirror. Seems to be working

Not related side-note: Typ81 Coupe has good enough aero, that driving trough heavy rainstorm at 100km/h and when i stopped i could blow dry dust from the rear screen, only wet parts were the few passages of rainwater that were blown there from the roof but had not fallen directly.

Lol, looks like it took 2 years to get the quattro glass fitted.
So here's my freshly painted Noggy A6 TDI quattro, wannabe S6 Plus.

I like how to quattro script remains mostly unseen but comes out in some angle/light.

Maybe fettle the positioning of the tailgate and the bumper to get the gaps more even.

Nice work on the tailgate and the car.

                              Enjoy !

Nice. Too bad you have to wait 5 months or so for a frosty morning to demonstrate the "Quattro" script steaming frost-free.
