passenger door catches

i am looking at buying a coupe quattro 10v, but it has a few problems, the bodywork i mention earlyer but also the passenger door, its perfect apart from the catches that keep it open are too weak, picture shows, i was wondering if it is possible to fix this.

Im sure you could buy new hinges as i dont think they separate into separate parts...
