My code is LZ5T - what colour is this? Can vagparts get the paint and lacquer??

I want to spray a few screw heads as they don't match my slam panel (is that what the panel across the front of the engine is called?) . How do I get the paint hard enough that it doesn't get damaged when tightening these up? Bake it?

Spray them when they are done up. No matter how hard you bake them the paint will chip first time you lay a spanner on them

I don't want to overload Martyn with posts - Already asked for loads - and they didn't supply oil so wasn't sure about the cans.

How do the original screw heads seem to keep the paint on?

Colour Z5T is ofically called Blue pearl effect. That's it! should be just over £11 from the stealers, you get a can of paint and a can of lacquer. Yor're right about me posting it Doug, it's explosive and cannot legally be sent through Royal Mail. Get your dealer to order a can, part number is: L0Z5T06.

Bit of Parts Geek Chat: I know you don't supply oil or spray cans etc because of the logistics involved but how do you deal with exchange parts?

Cheers Ben, but local Audi parts department are staying back after 6 especially for me tonight so I can pick it up - no doubt they'll add a £90/hour charge on top of my £11 can of paint

Ben, exchange parts are a mare for us :-(. I am just about to ship a LT 6 pot short block and head, that is a challenge!!! and so is getting the old units back!! :-)

At least the parts guy stayed back for me - which is a change since they are usually all arrogant ****ers that ignore everyone apart from the suits that walk in.
