I lifted the the boot of the RS2 that's been stood outside for a while, and heard water sloshing in the right rear brake light cluster. Water then poured out of the boot catch below it.
1) Coupe owners stop grinning - at least i didn't make it into the boot
2) Any ideas how it'd getting in, so I can stop it? Never seen/heard of this one before!

Easy. Something isn't sealed properly.
But seriously, you probably have a crack in the seam between the translucent bright red plastic taillight cover and the opaque red (or grey) plastic taillight housing, i.e. the formerly thermally sealed bit gave up the ghost. Remove the light and reseal.
Not a big deal. BUT yet for the C4 I did this write-up on outer corner light Re&Re.
Probably the mastic type stuff around the light/chassis join cracked. Either need to replace said stuffy with like for like or get some of that silicone sealant that's meant for sealing lights etc. Pop the light out and you'll have a better idea what's going on either way...only a half dozen nuts to remove then pull cluster away from body
