  • New wings

    Hi all.
Just wondering what would be the options for rusty front wings.
Mine are starting to go, and I don't really want to waste time hacking rust and filling holes etc.
Can oem wings still be got new or can alternatives be bought that are good quality?
Can't imagine that ebays wings could be nearly as good as genuine.

Wings can be got from dealer , but you have to cut your own indicator holes .

      Cheers Eric.
Didn't even try Audi as I assumed they would be out of stock
Anyone have a rough price on these?

            That's not to bad guys.
I think this is the best route to go, and not a bad price for the genuine article
            Thank you

imho, get them now before they go NLA or something else, i.e. get dearer.

I bought one for a coupe last year. £200 and I was told one of only a handful left in group....

Just off the phone with my nearest Audi shop.
£248 for the pair which is pretty respectable I think

Thats pretty good, cost me £300 for some last year. I thought id get some before they go NLA but might try repairing existing ones for now as I want to save for a full respray at some point

wow... i thought original wings would be NLA by now... I might have to rethink the ABT-esque wide arch kit for mine which was as much justified by difficulty & cost of getting new front wings to replace my crusty old pair.

Interested to see some pics of this kit.

I've toyed with the idea of fitting universal arches on mine as my borbets are quiet wide anyway.
                        Something like this.

No sorry JariP. I think I came across the picture on some random Audi page on Facebook and can't find it since
                            Looks pretty cool.

what kind of car have you got?

i got a replacement front wing for my 90 saloon from these guys . .

                              http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2214309826...84.m1439.l2649

they werew really helpful although with advice, i had to point out to them that the initial photo they had posted was for a coupe and not a saloon (flared arch). at a shilling short of a £100 incl postage they were over half price of the genuine audi one.

the panel beater's impression was that it wasn't a terrific fit (he had to elongate the gutter holes to get it to fit) but for that kind of money it was a good deal.
