You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
Included in the sale of my RS2 came a damaged bumper, I have all the bits that were knocked out of it, I have someone to plastic weld it but was wondering if anyone knew what kind of plastic it is made from. Is it ABS?
It should be marked somewhere on the bumper a small stamp saying what it is. Most likely abs due to the toughness. It will smell sweet if it is when its burned/plastic welded
I plastic welded my rear bumper last year (pics etc in an earlier thread), seem to remember that it was PP, but as others have mentioned, it is printed on the backside.
I used parts from a generic Mk2 Golf BigBumper chin spoiler as welding rod.
That said, most black plastic zipties are PP and will work as well
