Just had new windscreen fitted and it doesn't fit properly!!

Just had new windscreen fitted and it doesn't fit properly!! Well it fits fine the black at the bottom doesn't cover the holes in the dash

The screen was some unknown make but today the fitter bought a Pilkington glass one and it wasn't any better. Are they bringing the wrong one or is this a known issue.

Anyone had a new screen fitted recently to their Avant?

Had a new one fitted to my avant a few years ago and in all honesty I have never noticed any holes anywhere in the dash.... Will have a look tonight though for you and see what make it is when I get it out of the garage.

Does the new windscreen have the chassis number hole in the black border?

The holes are part of the windscreen demist ventilation ducting, they look about right to me

I had a new Pilkington screen fitted to my A8 last week and it has the same 'problem'. It also has a window for the chassis number and the old one did not. Strange...
