Yeah the purple in Jasons old car was simply stunning apart from black (not biased) which I think is the best colour in a Coupe purple comes a close second for me

That is not velvet purple, it is Byzanz Purple, code LY4N or LY4T.

I reckon the same/similar paint used on R8's RS5's etc which goes by the name of Velvet Purple is the same paint possibly. I cannot find a paint code for it and Audi appear to a pain in the **** about telling people about. It also looks similar to Techno Violet on some Bimmers.
