    Urquattro lhd/rhd question

I am thinking about to buy this car from ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301427715052
I want to build to lhd, but its looks like lhd from outside. I mean the windshield wiper position, brake master cylinder and the front light.
    But its rhd inside.

Can anybody explain it? The seller says its 100% original.

The first 1 or 2 years production of UK RHD UR quattro's had the windscreen wipers on the LHD side. This was until they revised the shell and the wipers went on the correct side for RHD.

Looks like much easyer to build it to lhd. i think it has the lhd hole for steering column.

how about the brake master cylinder?

I'd have to check mine but i'm fairly sure everything else is RHD apart from the wipers.

Is it not easier just to buy a LHD one?

It's in the same place as my Ur was, and mine was RHD also.

                Ur quattro

All ur quattros were lhd up to 1982 then they produced rhd. The wipers stayed lhd up until 1984. You will need lhd pedal box and linkage, steering rack and dash facia. Some are expensive and you need to declare if you converted it to lhd if you use it on the road. lhd are expensive now so you need to weigh up the cost to annoyance factor to see what is best for you.
