Avant rear wiper

Yesterday it worked. Today it will not the wiper seems to have lost contact with the glass and will not clean it!
Is there any adjustment or has the spring in the arm simply aged to the point it cannot apply the blade to the glass ?
I have looked and fiddled with no success.

The spring in the wiper arm (which keeps the blade in contact with the glass) regularly corrodes either with lack of use or from water residue when the rear wash squirter is used. Give it a good spray with WD40. This worked on mine.

Get a rear Aero wiper from Martyn at VAG parts. It looks 100 times better and cost very little.

Yes I think they are only about £11 or so.
Was a big improvement when I replaced mine - just works now, as before it seemed a bit hit & miss. The only downside is that the swept area is slightly less, but at least it is clean.
