    rear window removal

    Hi,

Is this possible on the coupe and if so how do you go about doing it?

I want to potentially remove mine for paintjob and want to know whether i can get it out to keep the original 3b quattro heating element rather than have to replace with something else.

    Thanks
    David

Most folks including the pros, avoid doing this as the risk of damage is high.

You don't need to remove it to do a good paint job. it's too risky and you are very unlikely to get another with the quattro logo in the heating elements

thats what i am worried about, I dont want to lose the window with the scripting on it.

Just had a quote for a glass out respray of about £3k from someone local.

Am at a real cross-roads with the car just now, do i do it or find something else
