Do you think it will polish out with some 'T-Cut'? LOL

Some of you have already seen the pics. My pride and joy got a bit bent recently due to some savage lift off oversteer at around 60mph at <5 degrees C very early in the morning.
My 'green coffin' will be resurected. Watch this space!!
Sorry to see that Lee.
But look on the bright side, at least it now gives you the chance to upgrade to those Lexus style rear lights you always wanted.
I will repair it myself. Think the chassis may have twisted slightly so I will get that jigged up too.
Only needs a rear 3/4 panel and possibly rear slam panel to fix. Will look at getting the arches flaired slightly at the same time to accomodate larger rubber!
Perfect time to do some tweaking before it goes back on the road. Driving a real TDi is frustrating but I am getting used to 550 miles on less than 60 litres as it goes three times further than the S2 did on the same amount. My motorway cruising speed has dropped from 100-130mph to about 60mph...LMAO. Should be good for reducing the possibilty of a speeding conviction.

I was gutted when it happened. At the end of the day it is only a piece of metal and it is not hard to repair. Chose not to get the insurance to do it as they may have insisted on writing the car off. Haven't got time to start battling an insurance firm with letters and the cost of the panel is about 1/3rd of my excess!

Sorry to see that Lee, just out of interest does anyone have a comparison, opinion or idea as to wheither the Avants are more prone to lift off oversteer?????? More weight, bigger fuel tank etc???
I don't think I have experience lift off oversteer in my coupe, the back only kicks on the power round tight bends, however my tdi (80 saloon) is due prone to it in the wet. This however may be due to relativly stick tyres on the front and quality koomasatiyochoutsa budget on the rear.
My car oversteers on the limit with the 255 front and 235 rear tyres. I had to lift off to avoid hitting the barrier coming of a roundabout with full opposite lock but it fishtailed and I couldn't hold it! 60mph sideways is not fun when you are not in control!
Ordinarily my setup was lovely on track but I just didn't have enough room to hold it in a drift just before crashing.
Avant fuel tank is smaller than the Coupe one and it is lower down too. The extra mass of the avant is at the rear though.
