      Audi RS2 Inner Wing

      Hi Steve,

I think the part/parts you want are the inner (steel wings)?

      Part number 8A0 809 103 (L/H) front inner wing
Part number 8A0 809 104 (R/H) front inner wing both still available from Audi Tradition for 177.31 Euros each.

Or it could be what I call a chassis leg?

      Part number 8A0 804 113H (L/H)
      8A0 804 114G (R/H)

Hope this is right and it helps you mate.

What the database doesn't do very efficiently is set out which parts are shared between which models. In other words, there's lots of linear access to information but no cross referencing.

Without something specific your link came across as the automotive equivalent of RTFM. But thanks for at least contributing to the thread.

There's an ETKA online website (free but open for donations) that works magnifecently.
It's been linked on this forum several times form me later and from others (thanks!) in the past.
I reckon a sticky with the due evidence will be useful?

        This again it's the link:

Click on "Carprog2" and you're on.

Note that the server accepts a number of clicks and then you need to relog (hey it's free anyway) but once you get used to groups (motor body electrical etc etc) and number of table you're watching it's easy to get back where you were.

        Focusing in this particular issue....
The site works exactly as per the ETKA used by the guy behind the counter at your dealer.
This means you can do what the professionals call TVN which is the best tool for cross reference in the VAG brands.

Once you you clicked on the part # a window pops out with price and description if you click on the menu where i put the red arrow you get some options icludinc "applicability" where you can choose between i.e. "actual model" "actual brand" or "all brands" which for electrical and motor it's the best to source a part that it's NLA for Audi but could be available in VW (happens often)
Then you'll have all the models that are or were using that particular part without mistakes.

Yes it's in italian for me but you can set your language as well

I suggest to set region on europe for our cars specially if you're after RS2 parts
Prices are stated for German market can't remember if includes VAT or not.
May I also suggest to donate a couple of quids to the guy, he thanks you via email shortly after.
Is it legal? Donno but could'nt care less the site it's like gold for me....

        @colonial nomad

Does UrS4boy know all the above including the existence of this site?
        I'm pretty sure he does....
        But!
He needs to..... I would'nt go as far as saying that he patronize people in here but sort of it.... perhaps a sort of cat n mice play should we say?
Consider also that if everyone of us gets perfectly skilled on parts search and cross reference there's not much left for him to do in here innit?

I don't have several thousands of posts, less then 10% of the Canadian Master by looking at today stats, but i try when i can and particularly when i know for sure things to help as much and as clearly/praticle as possible people in here, because that's what some of the best characters in here did for me (thanks folks) like Error404 Saltinot S2DriverUK S2Central.net and many others.
        I love this forum!

Thanks John - I'm not sure the inner wings are that small. I've seen other illustrations where they look like a second inner skin. And the other problem is that the parts I find on Audi trad which might be right look nothing like the parts in the parts database on VagCat, even though it says they're for the RS2.

Think I'll need to ask Ish for specific parts numbers. Just going by descriptions isn't accurate enough.

Would be handy if Ish could contribute to this thread.

From previous posts of you I'm led to believe the circled part below is what you're after:

Yeah it would be good but I understand he's a busy bloke and I haven't heard from him at all this week. He might have a big insurance job to push out the door. I believe you and John may be in agreement about the inner wing part!

                Ah but you are wrong.

The link I posted *DOES* do cross-referencing when you click on the (i) symbol beside the part listing.

I am going to do a separate post on the use of Ekaterina in a few moments.

I know this is the wrong side but might help identification of p/n and what you actually get!

Yeah thats been on Ebay for quite a while. I took another look at it last week in the hope it might change sides miraculously.

Had a chat with Ish tonight and he's just pulled the trigger on an coupe for spares. He's going to take the chassis components out of it for the RS2.
