UrS6 - Stamped in Metal Chassis Number Location ?

On the UrS6, the chassis number locations are:

    1. The paper label in the boot's spare wheel well.

    2. The paper label in the owner's handbook.

    3. The riveted credit car sized plaque of the side of the engine bay beside the air box.

    4. The display in the 'window' at the base of the windscreen.

Is there an additional location where the chassis number is stamped directly into the metal of the car itself?

    Thanks for any assistance.

I'm not sure if this is the same as what UrS4boy said, but:
In the engine bay, look directly beneath the strut bar, on the fire wall. Slightly on the left side if I'm not mistaken.

LOL, the opposite, I need to be able to prove to the MOT people that I haven't re-manufactured the paper label and stuck it in the boot with perfect 18 year old patina and the same for the credit card ID plaque on a 'stolen' shell.

Earlier today, when I look for the bulkhead metal stamped chassis number, I still couldn't see it.

It may be 'buried' behind the plastic cover that covers the five or so electrical connection points on the fire wall ?

I will re-check it again over the next few days.

                  Thanks.

Don't think so. You might have to pull up on gasket that seals the bonnet to the cowl and/or remove the strut bar.

In this photo of a 92 S4 RHD engine bay, the numbers are most likely behind the line that connects "CONNECTOR RACK" text with the connector rack. On the metal edge of the cowl/water box.

UNDER the strut bar, may or may not be painted over.

Just to close out the thread, I found it and it is up underneath the strut brace on the bulkhead 'buried' behind the the full pipes running across the surface of the bulkhead in the engine bay behind the engine.

It's all hidden by the black plastic cover that covers the five or so electrical connections on the rack mounted to the bulkhead at the rear of the engine bay.

Thanks again to all for their replies.
