I know there is info on the forum somewhere about opening the tailgate from inside by crawling into the boot space and releasing the mechanism from within, can anyone point me in the right direction.
the arm to do this is behind the panel at the back of the boot, i had mine apart the other day checking stuff, the carpetted panel at the back should come away (cant rememeber how now tho) and the arm for it all is behind there. You will see a long arm that goes to a solenoid, that the CL uses to lock it, so can move that accordingly and where that connects to is the bit that opens the boot
Bit vague i know but gives you an idea

Found the culprit, the actuating arm from the central locking has brokewn off at the cast, lock end, metal glue or replacement mechanism will find out in a day or two.
