Difference between petrol and diesel tank on B4 avant

Does anybody know if there is any difference between the 1.9 TDI tank, and a Quattro petrol tank on an B4 avant?

I'm thinking of converting my TDI to S2 in the near future.

FWD tank is completely different from quattro, you'll need to swap it over too. Petrol vs diesel tanks are the same except petrol tank has a restrictor in its neck which you can remove.

Does this apply to Avants as well? Can you confirm this ?

yes,same goes for Avant,saloons and avants share the same basic floor pan
