I have a bit of helicopter tape neatly applied over the leading edges of my bonnet and grill, keeps the worst stone chips at bay and it's barely visible unless you're up close - I think it's much nicer than those car bras.

I have a mate with a 911 who just spent £500 at Pentagon on a clear perminant stick on "bra" that covers the front portion of the car. Looks fine and you can barely see it but seems a bit excesive, but I suppose cheaper then a respray.

Whats wrong with you people ?

First mud flaps and now car bras - I've only ever seen them fitted in the states - and they look absolutely hideous. The neds using them seemingly are afraid of the odd little stone chip affecting the look of their car, but they drive it around with an ugly plasticky cover on the nose. The even funnier side effect of bras fitted to cars in sunny states such as Florida & Georgia (where I was) is that over time the paintwork under the bra doesn't fade in the sunlight like the rest of the car... So when you take the cars bra off, hey presto youve got frickin tan lines - oh yeah thats really appealing at a show or when trying to sell the car. Nobbies

Have to agree with Paul on this one. Although, I did have a bra on my Honda CRX and it looked the dogs ****

I've seen a bra on a yank Audi coupe and it did look absolutely nasty! It only covered the bonnet and didnt cover the wings. Looked darned stupid.

Bibby, do you only want a bra for aesthetic reasons? Or is it genuinely to stop stone chips? (the bra for my crx was both for aesthetic reasons and to stop chips. But I found that bounced off the bra and then onto my windscreen!!!)

I never said I wanted one. I asked if there is one available.

Paul, just because people have a different opinion on some things to yourself, does that mean they have something wrong with them?

No - sometimes I just like to give my opinion is all.

Admittedly I'm a bit of an untolerant git on certain topics - grumpy old man syndrome !
