    small dent

    small dint.

I have a small dint in my drivers front wing

I know it aint the end of the world but i like my s2 perfect.. seriously p*ssed off and want to hang the person on a tree who is responsible.

Anyway, yes the dent... its above the wheel arch where the curve is that runs down the whole wing. if I pop my bonnet, its on line with the "end" of the airbox.

Is there anyway I can remove the "inner" wing so i can try and push this dent out? I see bolts holding it together, but IM guessing I have to take the whole air box out first? anything else? Would I be better to get a dent wizard out?

Dentmasters or equivalent is your best bet. I have heard good stories about some of them. See if you can get a recommendation for your area.

    Cheers,

    Steve.

                hee hee

ok back to my original small question, is there anything complicated about taking out the inner wing of the drivers side? I see a few bolts on top.. anything else?

Do you mean the plastic arch liner inside the wing or the actual inner wing itself? The inner wing is welded in place not bolted, might be easierto remove the wing completely giving you easy access to the damged area, if you do becarefull and remember to to take the screws out at the bottom of the wing where it joins the sill. Youll need to pop the black plastic trim off then have a bit of a clean up behind there to see them.

                      crap!

I saw bolts and thought it would simply "unbolt" free. Thats just rained on my parade!!

I just need access to the inside of the wing to push the dent out, just above the wheel. Any other way?

Only other suggestion would be to remove the arch liner and the wheel and see if you can access it that way. How big is the dent ? can it be pulled out by one of those suction cups? has it just been pushed in or has the metal actually creased? if its been creased id give it to a bodyshop too sort. Removing the wing isnt actually too much of a ballach to be honest, worst bit releasing it from the sealant Audi used to seal it agains the inner wing

                            cheers gav.

yeah no scratches, and its dinted along the curve in the arch, so unfortunatly it cant be sucked out and it looks like it will pop out quite easy (i hope)
