You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
I was thinking of that brushed ali kinda look more than pure chrome look.... and the idea of a paintbrush hadnt entered my head!
Ant, If you reeeeeeealy want a proper job done, you could get a pair of mirror shells made in sheet steel which could be chromed. For simplicity they would be best made to bond over the old 'plastic' mirror shells.
A good panel beater will be able to make them for you. Wouldn't be cheap tho'....
