Von Beck it's not the door catch that needs adjusting. You need to adjust your hinges. The coupe doors are very heavy and tend to sag as they get old ( like other things )

anyway. Take the large bolt off the bottom hinge 13mm socket? look down the hole and you will see a hex shaped hole. You will then need a dirty great big hex drive to turn this clockwise to push the hinge away from the body and so raise the back of the door. You may need to screw the top hinge hex anti clockwise to pull it nearer the body and raise the door as well. This is only to adjust for a bit of sag. If your hinge pins have worn get new ones ( possibly from an Audi 80/90?) the way to check for hinge wear is to lift the back of the door up and down and see if there is any free play. you should not be able to notice any at all under normal circumstances.

dont forget to replace the bolts and check things once all is done. you may need to slacken another bolt on the side of the hinge as well, this is accessed through the door to wing gap IIRC.

IIRC you can't get the hinge pins separate from the hinges. Well, not from Audi anyway.
