We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links

Does the open end fit around the actual rubber of the snub mount or behind it?
Behind it. Sometimes you have to move the rubber snub mount forwards slightly for clearance. Attached pic is from a 7A but it's basically the same setup.
