  • Converting FWD A6 (C4) to quattro???

    Hi All

I hope i put this in the correct forum, mods please move to correct one please, sorry

I was wondering, as a Audi 80 FWD has be successfully converted , by a well known/respected member here, and we know its possible

Can the same be done to the Audi 100/A6 FWD???.....to convert it to quattro....has the floor pan under the car got the needed bolt kols for the conversion?

Why i ask is that i been offered a good A6 tdi (c4 shape)FWD for my Audi 80 quattro Avant in exchange..........and i got most of the A6 quattroio running gear at my lock up.... would it be as simple an operation as in the Audi 80?

Any thoughts on the above conversion,.....

    Thankyou

    john

Rear floor pans are different. If you want a C4 quattro, buy a C4 quattro. But actually the better advice is keep the 80 avant quattro and fix it up and dump the C4 FWD.

      Hi

Thankyou for advise on floor plan........... i love the Audi 80............ but its 2.6l and thursty, and getting to small, lugging family and luggage around.......i would love a 2.5 tdi C4 quattro.........bigger, cheaper to run.......BUT expensive and hard to come by.. i was hoping it would be a simple quick conversion

      cheers
