I've just started building my exhaust for my engine swap and I have heard that not all V-bands are born equal - some are not very good quality and crack.
Does anyone have a supplier for high quality billet items?

The cheaper ones are also hard to weld so they still will seal properly.

Once you've welded the flange, linish it flat on this and it will seal up a treat. It also comes in handy for getting all the pipe joints good and square before you TIG them up.
I only bought cheap Ebay ( £25 ) V bands and they are still fine 2years on.

I guess you weld them with the clamp on so it does not warp?
The cheap ones I used did warp even with the clamp and opponent side on. And then if you didn't get the opponent in the exact same position it will leak, not much but some any way. I would assist the male/female design types.
