  • Engine parts holder

As I'm learing to TIG weld aluminium at the moment, I thought that I'd practice by making something rather than just welding bits of scrap together. So knowing that I'd be dismantling my engine again, I thought I'd make a parts holder.

Granted, it's a bit OTT, but it's come in really handy, and there were some good long weld runs on it for me to practice on!

        Andy,

Good work but why is the engine in bits?

Nice one! Fine weldings, a lot better than mine.

I wish I had spare time to bang up something like that! Nice indeed.

What power are you using for the ally sheet you are using? Do you use the foot pedal to control heat buildup?
