  • customer crossmember/ IC install

Got a few pics of the crossmember Ive been working on. Its primarily 2" stainless box section and should allow the intercooler to fit behind the standard bumper. Ive used an 034 poly snub with a fully enclosed mount build into the crossmember. It still needs finishing off but im pleased with it so far as its the first proper job ive used the tig welder for . Any imput welcome

Looks lovely that mate. Will you be bracing it from the bottom at all? Looks like it might pivot into the crank pulley on hard acceleration. Is that an eBay intercooler? Need to do something similar with mine. What size core is it?

Cheers mate. Yea ebay core, 600x300x76. Next step is to fabricate 2 braces to drop down from the ctossmember to the lower i/c mounts

Looks good to me, including the welding.

If this is the only change being made to the car, I'd be interested to hear about the before and after driving impressions.
