  • Smoker...

...and I'm not talking of my UrS.

Decide to manufacture a BBQ Smoker, before my holiday starts. Love to get some ribs and pulled pork done. The whole smoker thing procedure sounds nice, sunny day, cook some pork for 10 hours with few beers...

So, I found some proper tubings from the metal scrap yard and did some modifications to them... First I made up a sketch of the wanted look, didn't get it precisely the same, but pretty close though.

Tested it today, even that's not finished. Still have to put the handles and thermometers to the lids and paint the whole thing black. It seems to work very well. Burns quite slow, with in and ex flaps fully open. When warmed up and closed the intake half way, it burnes really nice wihout any smoke, you can just see the air vibrate of the heat above the exhaust. Hope to get the temp gauges soon so I can test more, see how the temps holding.

    Will update the progress soon...

now that is BBQ porn. Workmanship looks fab and love smoking meats on a bbq and f**king off the neighbours with clouds of smoke

Was just browsing a gas weber to go with the kettle lol - this looks far far better.

That looks sweet! Great piece of work. I need to learn how to weld, not that I'd be able to make anything nearly as awesome as this

Anyone can do it Ryan with some tuition and lots of practise just maybe not as good as this . Given the material thickness he has Arc welded this which is easy enough to do but takes plenty of practise to weld so neat. Arc welding is like tig only so much easier with material that thick. You create a pool of weld and keep moving hence the crescent shape ridges which as he has done a super job and looks awesome.

Just don't hire it out....nobody will be able to lift it Great work. Should be a teacher with that skill.
