No. But I have a set of brackets with chassis leg parts still attached if that's any use.

I am quite sure that the B4 body shell was set up for various engines and transmissions, e.g. 4, 5 and 6 cylinder engines and manual FWD, quattro and autobox transmissions, with different transmission mounting subframes and engine mounts.

As bluequattro has implied, there should be no need to weld anything. The engine mounting brackets for an I5 will bolt to the B4 body shell. You just need to find the right parts.

No. Brackets are welded onto chassis and s2 i5 ones are in different place to v6.
I have both types of car (and broken half a dozen of both this year) and they re weld on.
I can take measurements if we can find a common reference point.

I had asked an audi specialist about the same question. Corresponding hole/dimple in the mount/rail for placement. Mine is a b3 tho..

            Coupe is b3 based
            Saloon/avant v6 b4 based
I have both so can take a look
Surely be earlier mount the brackets to the mounts on the engine-then fit engine to gearbox and see where the chassis mounts lie, then weld them on

Nope, the only option out there is for a 4cyl (1.8T) from late Cabrios.
Otherwise all 5 cyl (B3 and B4) mounts are sheetmetal welded in.
Had to do that on my 90 tdi converting from V6 to I5

Found the PNs for the sheet metal brackets. B3 and B4 including RS2.

same part for vw 32b for the 5syl verson..(have done some of them, with welding, and you can't miss where the place are.. they fit only one place in the frame...and there are about 2cm room in the engine rubbermount)
